Turn Your Loft Conversion Into A Stylish Guest Room

A loft conversion is the perfect space to turn into a nifty stylish place for your guests to escape to. Lofts offer unique low ceilings and the space can be used efficiently to create the perfect room for your friends to stay in.

Keep the colouring neutral, as you don’t want to overwhelm your guests. Nude tones in the room will add to the snug stylish essence of the loft conversion. Add a blanket in a bright hue at the end of the bed as a pop of colour; you can also incorporate the same colour with a scatter of accent pillows on the bed. Some great colour palettes have been revealed by Pantone as top tones for 2019, so make sure you get some inspiration from the experts. Match this up with a cream wooden bed frame to add to the homely vibe. Also, make sure you get a comfortable mattress for your guests, so they can jump on it with glee as if they have walked into a hotel room.

Loft conversions tend to be quite cozy, so capitalise on this factor by stringing up fairy lights. Hang them all around the room along the ceiling to add a stylishly natural touch to the room; your guests will think they are falling asleep under the stars. Or, arrange strings of fairy lights in mason jars and dot these twinkling pieces around the room.

You can even introduce a touch of nature in their room, with a fresh bunch of flowers or some house plants; as the loft is a little remote from the rest of the house, cacti and succulents may be the best choice if you opt for houseplants as they are capable of surviving a fair amount of neglect. This will add an outdoors feel and complement perfectly with the neutral tones whilst bringing in something extra to intrigue your guests. They’ll really think they’re being treated; everyone loves a fresh bunch of flowers, as well as the extra care shown by touches like this.

To match up with the cream wooden bed frame you can get a matching bedside table. On this you can add a tap lamp to add to the cozy moonlit lighting. On the bedside table you could even provide your guest with a bit of chocolate to nibble on in the evening if they get hungry. This can be placed along with a book, so they can do some evening reading. You can also provide your guests with their favourite home comforts. Do this by providing your guest with a hamper with their own shower gel, towels, moisturisers- all the bits everyone gets excited for when staying in a hotel. The only thing that’s missing is the mini fridge…

To add to the comfortable snuggly feel of the room you can place a faux fur sheepskin cream blanket on the floor, so they will feel like they are walking on clouds. This will add a different texture to the room whilst linking the cream and neutral tones of the walls. To finish the room off whilst keeping it stylish you can place some candles or reed diffusers around the room, so it has a fresh pleasant smell.

So, spice up your loft conversion and dec it out with cozy neutral tones, interesting plants, cozy blankets and fairy lights. Your guests will love your hospitality and be queueing up to return for another visit!

If you’re in need of a sanctuary to escape to yourself, consider turning your loft conversion into a library instead, or even an attic playroom for the children to enjoy. While the kids are away in the loft, the adults can relax in the main house.
